It was just Joan and I for Thanksgiving and so it is for Christmas, or was. The Prediger’s plans had to be built around the main hostess having to work on Christmas so they divided up the clan and everyone seemed taken care of except for our Dixie, who lost her husband a year ago January. She had the liberty and for us the mind of God to invite herself and her daughter and husband over to our house for Christmas day. It should be fun.
Joan has always made goodies at Christmas time. We used to make up plates for the neighbors and have our girls deliver them. It was kind of cool. This year we made boxes with goodies for everyone in church and decided to include our neighbors. So I had the pleasure of delivering them Wed. night before church. Got some nice “Merry Christmas'” it was very rewarding.
The Green’s tonight reciprocated our gift with a gift of their own. It was Shoprite in Mazabuka all over again. They brought over a just out of the oven loaf of white bread with home made honey butter! Too good!
Instapundit linked to this story with Walmart as Holy Land. It would be nice to do with the grandkids one year. It really is a great Christmas read.
So Merry Christmas!
