Pastor Dave Szczepanski

As a young guy he always marveled at the help wanted signs that said “experience needed”. How can I get the experience if I can’t get the job. We learn through experience. Pastor Szczepanski preached from:

1 Cor 1:26-29  For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.  27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

We learn as we go as pastors with the nice phrase “maneuvering through things”. We need to recover wounded pastors. You enter a different level of ministering when you actually take on pastoral ministries. We need to learn the lessons of life: I’ll just add two verses:

Prov 6:23
Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

Prov 15:31 the ear that hears the rebukes of life
Will abide among the wise.

A pleasant acknowledgement of the human condition as we attempt to do the will of God. He gives us the final admonition of putting ourselves in the hands of God.
